Blinded

you took everything from me,
ripped it from my hands,
stomping on it before you laughed,
as the last hints of hope,
were drained from my heart,
my innocence fled from the start,
making it hard to cope,
everything becoming heavy,
a slight rush of numb,
for i didn’t know what had gone on.
