Fun Times

In the year of 2019, and 2020 too, I, Adam, do live in Seattle

through sixth grade I went, I thought it would surely drive me mad

My friends and I were happy, on and on we would joyfully prattle

But little did I know, I would soon look back to say, what fun times we had

 

When the news came out, that school was online

Only two weeks? now this might be an event to others we could recommend

We were content with it just fine

But little did we know, we might soon be wishing for it to end

 

Now we see, just how wrong we were

Not two weeks, not even a month,  

At least next year, we’ll be close enough to confer

a whole summer? The sick will be gone. Its quite a long time, it will be enough

 

Online again, for how long this time?

Some people’s faces I can't even remember

So many questions, school sour as a lime

If we had any hopes, they sure were dismembered

 

Seeing family this summer, it must have been ages

Back seeing friends, we feel so lucky we could find a four leaf clover

looking back to the start, and into the future, so many pages

When we now think, is it really over
