Night of moon and sea
She laid her eggs in the sand
Tired she dove deep

About this poem

This HIAKU is about a sea turtle I encountered on a beach in Florida one moonlit night. The night was also full of mosquitoes which were biting me but I couldn't leave her. It was too wonderful to see.
