stars

Our moments under the stars were the best,
we held hands, sat on top of the roof and told endless stories.
Shared one or two kisses as the stars witnessed it,
Our  love had been registered amongst the stars.
Waiting for the sun to rise,
so as to flaunt our love,
the sun did rise only to burn and destroy.
Afraid to hold hands we gave what we thought was a brief moment
to our backs as they viewed each other.
The brief moment became a decade,
the decade became a century,
the century became a millennium,
the millennium became eons.
we longed for the moments under the stars,
that we failed to relive.....
