The Tightrope of Improvement

Are we ever satisfied?

Should we be?

It's a fine line to walk

The line between self-improvement and self-criticism.

They say to always be improving yourself

Fine tuning

Enhancing

Preparing

'What more can I do?'

Because surely this is not enough!

You look at your life and it's exactly what you asked for one year prior.

Yet here you are wondering where you'll be one year from today.

Because surely you can't still be here.

You should be over there! There is even better.

But what if you actually just sat

Right where you are

And looked around

And rejoiced in the life you have built

The journey you have taken

The love you have received.

What if you took a moment to just Be.

Happy.
