The Porch

Hi Dizzy. Miss Dizzy
On this sunny evening
The heat at my chest
My face irradiated
A world seen through
Squinted eyes. Ah yes.
It’s summertime. I squint
and smile some more,
and gaze at rows of
neatly organized produce.
What amazing greens.

Hi Toby. It’s too hot for you.
The sun rays may burn. But
It feels exquisite, like a sauna.
A rich feeling.
How lucky am I?
to be burned by the sun.
