Garden In My Heart

DaveMorningstar312 2006 (North Dakota)

For so long my hearts been locked,
and somehow you stole the key.
I’ll admit that I was shocked,
when my soul was set free.

You saw the dead garden,
of buried hopes and dreams.
Bleak black and barren,
that you promised to redeem.

You planted a little seed,
in the hole within my heart.
Please don’t let it bleed,
don’t tear our love apart.

Soon the buds turned into roses,
and hope replaced my pain.
In my hearts song you’re the chorus,
from loving you I can’t abstain

About this poem

This was one a friend made for me a while back. I'm not entering this to win but to show how great of a poet she was
