My foreign lover

We met on Facebook
Where people go to look
For lost friends and relatives alike.
He gave my comment a like
How I accepted his request is still unclear
But he made his intentions clear.

He's from a country far away
Miles apart yet we stay
Connected with calls and in soul.
When he's complaining of the cold
The heat in Africa makes me desire
To spend the night with him till he perspires.

He has a strong accent
Sometimes I feel so tense
Trying to get his words right
He doing the same without a fight.
We're not bothered about the way we sound
Just proud of the love we've found.

Our tongues may be distinct
Our dialects may seem extinct
But our hearts beat as one
Our souls intertwined as one.
We may seem foreign from the other
Yet we're deeply in love with each other.

It's true that people find love in
Both familiar and strange places life brings
I found my love, that's all I care
And the passion that we share
Is one I have never had before
Truly, love comes in different forms.
