The hail

The hail pounded against the window.
Outside all was darkness, it was late 
but the noise had woken me.
 Softly
rap tap tap, tap. Rap! I had to see
what was going on outside, so I 
climbed out of bed to stare out the window.
It was to hazy from the wind  Blowing the hail to see, so I just sat.
