Constant State

Free verse
Confusion festering deep within
head pounding,heart beating
sweat dripping off my neck
beading up and pouring down
my eyes are a cloudy mist
Breathing fast,seeing stars
The sky is not the limit
Roller coaster ride not stopping
dreamstate to high up the hill
more like a mountain top reached
to cold,fall back down
content for only a minute a day
blinded by confusion
where will it go?

Tawnya Coomer

My name is Tawnya. I'm 49 and have suffered Bipolar and BPD along with anxiety most of my life. Most of my poetry will reflect that. I've been writing off and on since the sixth grade and often times I find it very therapeutic! I started with Poetry.com at 15 through the newspaper and then they built a website. Alas they revamped and I lost everything. A few pieces were chosen to be published in their huge book back in the early 2000's. Who knows if that came to fruition. I never bought the book.
