Ukraine

Ukraine

We are sorry Ukraine
For the torture and the pain
You are enduring
Blaring
Air raid sirens
Fearing the outcomes
As the fabric your country is destroyed
Obliterated
Accelerated
Destruction
Acrid smoke in the air
Loud noises that scare
For the freedom of your land
We understand
As the bombs reign down
Creating craters
And killing the innocents
What do the children think
Why do they cry
And ask why
What answer can you give
That you no longer live
In peace
How do you explain
Why the pain
To those too to young understand
Always in our minds
We are bonded by humanity
God speed and grant victory
 To your courageous souls
