The loss of you

Damon Noble 2002 (Mississippi)

I hate you,
You betrayed me,
I love you,
You played me,

You took what you wanted,
And threw the rest in the fire,
You left me to burn,
As the smoke rose higher,

I barely survived that day,
With a body charred and burned,
I lost my little piece of heaven,
But I found my heart scared and broken,

With memories so fond,
It is them i start to hate,
We separated at the breaking of our bond,
Which i am so desperate to recreate,

You became a hypocrite,
And did the unexpected,
You’re just apart of this corrupt syndicate,
Just as i had always suspected,

But every time I’m lost in thought,
You’re always on my mind,
You’re important to me,
But the reason why I wished I could find,

I always thought my greatest fear was losing you,
But in time it was all revealed,
That my greatest fear was loving you,
And suffering this great ordeal,

You were the one who started to falter,
And in your deadly wake i began to stumble,
It was there i watched your alter,
As it started to burn and crumble.
