Old Softy
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
This old softy once was young
And he was tough as nails
But then for all his many sins
He spent some time in jail
The incarceration helped him
Now he had some time to think
He had a little time to ponder
And he had no strong drink
He cried out to the LORD in pain
He prayed to God to save him
He was humbled in his heart
And love was what God gave him
