With Faith and Doubt we dance through life

Royston 1946 (Reading)

Faith and Doubt dancing together
help us work difficult things through,
and as they dance with each other
they bring me much closer to You.

Lord, I believe, but also doubt,
please help me with my unbelief.
Stay with me as I work things out
and through the turmoil, give me Peace

About this poem

Faith and Doubt are said to be like dancing partners. Sometimes Doubt take the lead and we wrestle with our thoughts and feelings causing us to stumble. Other times Faith takes the lead and we seem to glide over the dance floor of life. But each dance we can draw us nearer to God Mark 9:24 Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
