Help(er)

Have you ever wanted to help?
protect someone so bad
That it eats you up if you've not
Interfered, and force it on

You think you've seen enough
Of world, and you understand
You're so happy to help, that
 you've made someone happy.
Only to break through the illusion
To find your hands stained red.
To realise that you didn't know,
That you didn't see, anything.

The fact that you've forced
Someone into hope and believing
Only to disappoint them,
Disappear and dare to feel nothing.
You should feel the guilt, feel
The sadness but you dare to
Brush it off, like some dust, trivial,
Like an insensitive monster.

It reveals more that you've
Never felt, never tried to know
Their feelings, their struggle
Never tried to understand
This world and it's working.
Drowning in self indulgence,
you ignored everything enough
That emotions feel foreign.

Now, you have blood on you
Of someone who came for help.
Now, you see the fading stains
Of tears and blood that's not yours.

About this poem

Just my confused state of mind and inability to comprehend emotions. This is my first poem ever so I don't know how it should be written.
