Strings

Jonathan P Oliver 1969 (United States)

Heart strings being pulled
Strings can snag and fray
They can keep a kite aloft
To float on a beautiful day

Strings played, gently strummed
Making sweet pleasant sounds
Strings to pull as children smile
While marionettes dance 'round

String tied to the finger
Of an absent minded soul
I need no reminding
Your heart was always my goal

A string drawn by cupid
His eye trained on you
Tiny arrow flies fast
You sweet smile and eyes of blue

Strings can tie or bind
Hold strong, safe, and true
Our knot is unbreakable
I was always meant for you
