Wondering Alone

Brandon Wooden 1984 (Greenville, NC)

Wondering alone in this misty night
Like a homeless child reaching for its heartless life
Trying to find the path of his dreadful faith
But instead, he sees his wrongs and mistakes
What do I do?
He cries out to his father in shame
Without the sound of his voice
He cries out to him again
Bowing on his knees
As he begins to pray to his God
A door opens slowly reaching out for his love
It was an angel who's been watching
Seeking his mistakes
Rushings to his rescue as he cries out in pain
Stop she said?
For I am your faith
Listen to my voice and hear what I say
Though you are going through problems
Doesn't mean it will last
You must first go through hell
Before HE shoes you your path
Just so HE can see
If you can handle the test
For when you get older
You'll be as wise as Him
And when you die your soul will be lifted
But only when you seek and ask for forgiveness
And no more
Would you ever wonder alone
For His home will always be your home.
