The Scum
The man baffled
at the garden fresh orange
into the garbage pit
in the roadside.
………………………
It watered his mouth.
With a bewildered face,
He rambled a while on the road.
For his conscience pricked him
like the throbbed heart of the crow
with a bird caught between its beaks.
His tremulous hands
peeled off the rind of the orange,
each section of which revealed
the lips of the pretty girl
in his eyes.
……………………….
Traumatized by his desire
He swallowed the orange.
His face abruptly turned blue
by its sour taste
felt by his tongue.
He glared at the garbage pit
and flung
the orange and its skins
into it.
Like the clear water in the pond
after the wind whirled the scum
on its brink,
………………………..
Enlightened his mind.
The man offended
by the electric stroke
exasperatingly
stalked away from there.
