Valentines Poem

Ishelle Tobin-Lindo 1999 (London)

The day is set, the day is near, I'm counting down the days I can embrace my love within.
The day I show the world our love, that's so true, the day I know I won't be able to take my eyes off of you.
The day I intwine my hand into yours, while lying so close to your chest.
Hearing your heart thrumping with life, knowing that you was sent to be all mine. Seeing your eyes gaze up at the stars knowing that we will never be apart.
Your laugh blessing my ears and your smile making a home in my head.
Remembering all of our movie nights while cuddled up in bed.
Feeling the unconditional security from you and never having to shed a tear, I cannot express to you how much I love you just know February the 14th is near.
The day I get to hold you and shower you with all my love, the day I get to feel the warmth while cuddled up your arms.
One of the special days you become more expensive, just know everything I said, I meant it.
I hope one day that I'll be your Mrs and you will be my Mr.
Please don't cry from this love letter I've written, just know my heart is yours that's something that can't be undone.
As I'm writing you this love note, I'm just asking for this one little favour? Could you please save me a kiss for later.
