Song for the Tormented

Why do I feel such torment?
Why do these ancient knives haunt me
They cling to my mountains of pain unmovable
Climbing to find rationality in a nonsensical fear
I cry out to God
But the demons torment my heart and they laugh at me
They laugh at me like she does

She can't feel pain, it's all a mask
She wants to feel pain so she studies how I felt it
No one understands the torture that plagues me
How painful to see such a soul
Who was once so beautiful
Be tattered like an old rug and
thrown to the junkyard dogs

But, yet, do the junkyard dogs not have feeling?
It was their masters' wish to snatch them up and send them to live amongst trash

Why was I sent?
God had woven my soul so beautifully, but then
Ghoulish hands reached and tattered me
I am worthless to them.

But to my creator,
who values me,
Why must i be separated from you until death?
I say
I have died countless times
In blood and agony
The most unendurable deaths

Yet somehow I endure?
Have I wronged you?
Have I been sent to hell just yet?
