Spilled waters
Happy is how I used to be,
Born determined and free.
Courageous and strong to
To face every hot ball that shoots
Towards me by life!
Not until a hypocrite came into my life,
As an honest father figure,
Not realising that he had a hidden agenda.
And sadly he turned me into a new sad me!
He took what made me whole what could, have made me "Indoda ye qotho"!
He took my dignity.
"Uzoqina mfana wam u be indoda",
"Wonke umuntu uzok'hlonipha",
"Njengoba ngiyak'qinisa"!
Proudly saying those words
While he was still abusing me.
Tears rolled down my cheeks,
I was in a confused state of mind, numb!
Dirty and unworthy is how I feel
Shattered within and no longer still
My lips are paralysed,I am now
Stuttering with uttering words.
What if umama will not believe me?
What if my trousers no longer fit me?
Umzimba wami uyangisinda
Inqondo yami iyahlanya
Ubomi bami abusa'lungile
Ubulili bami abusa'hlonishwa
I was raped!
I do not think I can do this life thing anymore.
My dreams are shattered my positivity is drained,
I do not know myself anymore
Spilled water's
Spilled are the waters!
About this poem
This poem is about a young boy who was sexually harassed by his step father.I wrote in as an awareness to speak on behalf of all the boys that experience rape and are afraid to talk about it because the society might view them as weak or their loved one's might not believe them now is not only females that go through this also young males!
