The Wind
Yeshiembet/Yeshi Gemaneh 1940 (Harar)
Harsh and strong wind
Caught me in a big field
Where there is no hiding place
It has no knowledge of me
Pushed me hard
As if I did something wrong
It slapped me on the face
As a cruel person
It whispered into my ears
As if I speak its language
To escape from humility
I run, and run hopping to find a shelter
None in the vast field of no control
In a distance I viewed shepherds
They too were under attack
We were too weak for retaliation
Jointly, we all vowed
For the mercy and for its serenity
We confronted unfavorable power
Though, all the fight and anger was
Against the cloud
About this poem
At times things get tough, and becoming beyond control. Though, should not take it negatively things could change its path.
