Touch Me Not!!

Touch me not - it echoed in the silence of my being,
waiting in the dark in me, I stood still,
tossed by the feeling of loss, I cried,
emotions so strong to override, I plunged,
into the bottomless of being unknown and unwanted,
a desire to stay afloat, perhaps alive,
with pangs of breath to sustain, I lived,
yet another day with a sunshine, I hoped,
could make my life better, I dreamt,
maybe once again wish to rise and win,
against the odds of time, I fought,
with foolish optimism, only to be proved wrong again,
happiness by all means, I thought,
lost in oblivion  of material gain, I wished,
could be the ultimate, I believed,
slowly slipping away into folly, over and over again!!!
