Winter

Oh, how I dread winter;
howling winds in the dead of night.
Lurking shadows;
hidden secrets escape the city light.

Oh, how I despise the cold;
jealousy grasping away our warmth.
A plague spreading, consuming,
as it swarms.

Oh, how I envy nature;
falling away from all dread.
Immortal life,
appearing dead.

Oh, how I long for spring;
winters long time enemy.
Bring back life and comfort
to me.
