Nowadays

You look up at the sky ,it's blue
You look aside you , the next person is sick cause of flue
You open your eyes ,open your ears wide open ,you hear a loud bang , of course someone has been doomed
You turn back ,you see those thousands and you wonder what's happening
yet it is a campaign someone is seeking the power to rule
You ask yourself like in the hearts of those terrorist is there anything good
You walk down tur streets there are those people called burgers seeking food
You reach the downtown called the ghetto
where youngsters are abusing drugs and you are like these kids are fools
You are like am I scolding these kids ,no this is reality and facts , made to become the truth
At as little as 15 years , you hear about love affairs
My boyfriend has left me , she reaches home
mommy is like what's wrong princess
And princess is already stressed out , she is in a bad mood
You look kinda surprised but you have lost your status in society
Like everyday you only update your WhatsApp status
Instead of your moral status
You have lost your tradition because of something new
You go to aunties place , she fails to cook madora
And goes for spaghetti
And she is like madora is old fashioned
But spaghetti is dope
You go at the low density area and you greet a kid
He answers you all is cool
Yet that's just disrespect to elders
That you surely didn't knew
Where are you norms and  customs, you once had
You are not worried about poor gogo
Always thinking about Nikes or puma shoes
You walk in town and Mr steps on your shoes
He doesn't even turn to apologies how rude
Your kids phone nothing much about school
What's trending in there is sharing of porn and nudes
Mom is busy on WhatsApp with so called aunty Ruth
Daddy comes home late doesn't have time busy watching football games that are overdue
What about family time ... guess it went away
You are going home late night
flash your lights young girls dressed in mini pants entertaining grown up man surely it is the end
But how can we mend
Instead of going to church to pray
We are on IG,Twitter tic toc social media everyday
These are facts
You switch to BBC
And you can see that the war is still there
You boarder a  Benz heading somewhere
Oh my God torrential rains wash you away
Climate change is happening but who is paying darm right *Africa*
Surely many lives are being taken way
You pass by a house , little girl is being called wife
Doesn't she have her rights
If it ain't for these laws I would have stabbed that man with a knife

Cause I'm still wondering where our ethics went
How our lives have transformed
Where politics is taking our families
Why our parents abondon us at a young age
Some don't even find show affection for us
Those street kids don't they deserve a hot meal
So to whom should they cry to
The world has turned into darkness
They is prey the poor and the predator the rich
So ....what's left
