Leftovers From A Darkened Life

Kelly Tull Martinez 1971 (Merrimac, Ma)

Ode

Leftovers; mottled eggs, darkened
 beans, and cultured peas.
What to do?
I live to be screwed.
All about who pays for the food.

Live a life of tortuous memories.
Not to have medicine, a bite to eat, or
 a blanket or heat.
What can our 500.00 a month not a
 week.

Eat a can.
Get in line.
People live to be failed.

Blood and linen will do a flag.
More than that makes a famine.

Meek in faith.
Death abase.
Failure can make you to ban.

Fight for your life,
To prove you are worth,
More than a miserable man.
