Mom

I have often seen her making decisions,

unlike many who describe

mother as soft and weak,

who depends on us,

who toils day and night in the kitchen;

mine is different,

yes, she works in the kitchen,

but not just confined to it,

she works outside,

she finds space for her,

holds position in our lives,

and not just taken for granted;

I will not portray her a helpless woman,

as she is a fighter, not a loser,

she is strong and firm,

a woman with a solid character,

decisive and powerful she is on one side,

 loving and caring on the other;

a perfect blend of emotions she is;

She explains to me,

a woman is never weak,

her life a true example;

she never halts at obstacles,

and confronts them before us,

she is a shield,

an ideal woman,

who can never be understated,

she is the change we all need,

from an age old concept of woman,

as weak and vulnerable;

to a woman strong enough to take a stand...
