Moving on
Moving on…
Clock ticks away and time keeps moving while I’m still stuck frozen
Wasting my time reminiscing of the things I can’t control because I wasn’t chosen
Accept that there are certain elements in life that aren’t meant to be
Some experimentation just don’t add up and create that instant chemistry
Need to stop blaming and hurting myself with endless thoughts of negativity
Have to learn to love me first before I venture off again into society
Be part of the world again once I accept my new reality and finally let go
Don’t know how long that’ll take but I know I’ll make myself as a person grow
Not everything is given in life there are many challenges with various difficulty
Need to build a solid foundation to overcome whatever is being thrown at me
Be solid as a rock but gentle and calm minded as the sea
Can’t control what’s out there but to whomever next, I’ll make sure I’m ready
Battled scarred this soldier fought many demons residing in his head
Still standing from the many blows looking for what lies ahead
Someday when all his crying is done he’ll come back home and look at the sun
Then maybe a light will shine upon him again and send him someone
