Her

She is the most beautiful thing
I have ever laid my eyes on

Her eyes,
The color of caffeine on a November morning,
Deep like liquid pouring out of skin,
The darling shape of pennies,
With a gaze that makes the sun shine a little brighter
and the weight a little lighter

Her lips,
Perfectly round petals,
That are too fragile to touch
The shade of blooming coral bells in late April,
That make the world stop and stare
Its obvious there is a smile behind them,
Waiting to be brought out

Her hair,
Has the shine of soft lip gloss,
Colored deep and rich
As smooth as a fresh coat of snow in February
Begging to be flipped and tossed
Flawless does not come close to an accurate description

She feels like June after 8pm
Her stare is like drugs
Her laugh tastes like alcohol
She’s addictive
In the best way possible

Her presence makes me want to know more
About this angel from heaven
Sent to torture me
Because I cannot have her

About this poem

About being in completely infatuated by someone you cannot have.
