Fatherhood

‘If I could look into your eyes a moment I would give the world away
If I could share a little time with you, I would give up all my days.
You don't know the pain that is in my heart I'm so confused in this lonely place.
I don't know where on earth start just wish I could tell you face-to-face.
To feel joy on Father's Day is something  I can't accommodate.
There’s happiness all around the world, but what about the lonely boys and girls?

I thought I saw your face but it was just a dream
I thought I felt your love but it was sight unseen
I cannot believe the stress I feel, being without you life has been surreal.
Hear me now when I speak my mind, life without you has been just fine.
But it could have been better..that's why I write to you this letter.
To feel joy on Father's Day was something I can’t accommodate
There is happiness all around the world but what about the lonely boys and girls?

I know a lot of you feel as I do and if your heart is breaking apart it's true
It's been tough there to take this world alone without dad there to call upon the phone
I know most will agree with what I say It’s hard to feel the joy on Father's Day
I feel the fall in our great society is a lack of responsibility for so long I have held this pain inside. But now I feel the need to take this worldwide
To spread love for a dying breed that’s good, A dying breed in which we call fatherhood
To me, life seems turned upside and down, while we're spending on an axis round and round.
Brothers…sisters I know you think you're beat because you feel your life is incomplete.
You may think that there is no escape, but just hold on… Wait!

It's time to pick up...now’s the time to start to mend the pieces of your broken heart
So take your time and get your mind straight so in your life you won't make the same mistakes.
I have searched for him far and far and near, but then I realize friends that he is here in my heart I have found a lasting love sent to me from my Father up above.
I pray now that there will come a day that I can look into my child's eyes and say,
I will love you and will be there night and day, I'll protect you I will guide you, and will light your way. I will never leave you and let you go astray.

This is my promise to you my child I will make your life worth your while.

To feel joy on Father's Day is something I feel achieved today there is happiness every day and night, as the Father shines inside his holy Light
