Loveless

Jonathan Hay 1989 (Thanet)

I continue to wait with the upmost of patience, just staring, gazing, blankly from the sidelines.
Awaiting nothing more then a simple chesture, an insignificant action to be taken by the one who claims to know me the most. Simple words spoke, that in my eyes, clearly
need to be spoken.
And yet, a seemingly impossible feat, for the one who promises the sky and stars.
Consistent distress signals I display.

Ignored?

Unnoticed?

Either way......the feelings I feel become seemingly never ending waves of personal
disaster.
Thereafter, dealing with magnificent amounts of unspeakable collateral damage that these waves leave behind.
Alas, once again, I will pull myself out of the wreckage, my own personal ruins left behind by my minds very own urban disaster.
The tsunami of sufferering has again, finally ceased. All that's left to do is to once again piece together my, once perfect, little city.
Aiming to achieve a place that will never be a certainty ever again.
Brick by brick, knowing that soon enough Disaster will hit once again.

For this isn't a choice.
Do I painstakingly, forever aim for the impossible? Or do I forever lay in ruin?
To me, the answer is clear.

Time to start building.

Building up to a future.

No matter how far.

No matter how near.
