The Tsunami
I will always remember that fateful day
The day the tsunami came
It came flooding through our small town
And no one dared to look around
It came in fast, crashing through the city
Ruining homes, lives, what a pity
We fled the place as it came closer
There was some however, who were older
And got swept up by the violent waves
And drowned as no one was there who could save
We ran oh so fast, through the town
The waves were flooding in all around
There was no escape
Time was running late
I ran and tried to flee
But I started to think that there was no hope for me
I found a place to hide
Somewhere where the waves can’t bide
The waves were as high as the big blue sky
I couldn’t imagine how much people would die
Meanwhile, I’m the one that still survived
Still wondering if there’s anyone alive
I looked to see if there’s anyone around
But all I heard is the silence of sound
I wonder what caused the natural disaster
As my heart began to beat faster
Worried about what might come next
As I felt a sharp pain in my chest
I’m sick and tired of all that has happened here
It is something that I’ve always feared
That a tsunami might come and flood this town
While millions upon millions are ceased to drown
Turns out my prediction was right
Now I am worried for my life
