CORRUPTION IN HIGH PLACES

Phil Roberts 1957 (Melbourne)

Corruption in high places
Is rampant across this land,
From councils to the federal government
Most of the people in command.

Canberra is now power-mad
We’re being bullied and dominated,
Freedom is being stamped out
Democracy just won’t be tolerated.

It’s corruption that rules both houses
In state and federal parliament,
They’re taking away the most basic rights
Democracy is sorely rent.

Corruption rules our schoolyards too
Where young minds are being perverted,
Evil rules of political correctness
Are being forcibly asserted.

Corruption by elected officials
Is the worst kind of corruption there is,
Especially when they orchestrate a program
Of abuse against our kids.

They’re abusing our kids at school
With government approval,
Brainwashing them to conform
And be politically correct fools.

Corruption up in Canberra
By Liberals and Labor in kind,
They abuse our rights to think and rebel
Determined to control our minds.
