Sorrow

Brad Van Conant II 1974 (Croswell)

What if I said I was contemplating suicide?
Would you believe me...? What if it was a lie?
I just couldn't control myself inside!
How do I get past what's keeping me bound?
My one, my all, they're flipping me upside down.
Are these only the fringes of a fallacy on which I lean...?
It seems I'm teetering dangerously on the edge of a broken dream. If time had a limit, I would be on its brink...
a disaster in waiting, I can't help but think.
Tomorrow's never promised, this we all know well,
but living life through sorrow, it becomes a living hell...

About this poem

Depression occasionally affects most of us and I'm no exception. Writing helps me deal with it when it comes...
