Spectacle

Achieving to accomplish anything rare.
And considered spectacular.
Can motivate and inspire those who seek,
Something unique and unexpected.
That reaches beyond repeated routines.
Then it happens.
Heightening expectations.
With a demanding of more of it to see.
No longer remaining appreciated.
Squeezing from it the humanity.
Leaving what had been once done to do,
A spectacle.
A side show.
As if part of a circus act.
Or a lion's den to be sent in to perform.
Until the people observing are heard,
Screaming for the blood of the one...
Who becomes nothing more,
Than a martyr.
A sacrificial lamb.
People await to publicly see slaughtered!

And...
The one who recognizes this to prevent,
Becomes even more admired.
Disappointing...
Those with a heightened urge,
Craving blood to taste.
To victimize and not appreciate humanity!
