SLEEP WALKING LIKE IN DRUNKEN LURCH

The year just gone today
the Twentieth of July Twenty Twenty One
It’s been a tumultuous year
after my Bonnie had passed away.

It has knocked me sideways.
It’s as if I have been sleep walking
in drunken lurch sways
Like an ink spot spreading
of my deepest scathes.

Its been the greatest of challenges,
at the darkest of times for my passages.
My daughter had passed away
to oblivion a year ago today.
