Rise not fall

Carrie Zis 1981 (Narrogin)

My heart is broken, my life has crashed, but we all know that it is over, you can’t put back together things that have been shattered as such

Your words hurt like fire, your stares burn through my flesh, but you have to accept the truth of it is what it is, and what it is, is said and done

I only wish you the best, We were not that happily ever after I longed for, instead it was a lesson, I needed your test

I have grown so much in the tornado we created, it built me up whilst you tore me down, I dare to come out the other side better than ever before

Thank you for the time and the memories, you will always be my favourite mistake, and my biggest wake up call

I love the way I have decided to rise, while you let me fall.
