Journey disrupted

Journey disrupted

We so take life for granted,
from food on the table to journeys.
Today I realised this more clearly,
 a routine train from Manchester
to London
disrupted , which I take so often
almost never any problem
almost always arrive well at destination.

Not appreciating when it’s going fine.
A disturbance and nuisance,
I have been stranded in Rugby , then in Euston
then I realised how good it was that we
that I had all along.
Turbulence and trials make us
appreciate how good it was for so long.

My journey from Manchester to London
derailed by flash floods all of a sudden.
Tonight’s journey disrupted,
but long last at an end,
and another to start with the dawn.
We so take life for granted all along.
