Oceana Queen of seas of P&O's 175th birthday

To P&O Cruises on their 175th.

O Oceana Queen of Seas,
Epitome of endless ease;
Your majesty abreast the Waves
Our fiercely fretted Spirit laves,
By luxury unrivalled.

Your Staff, your sailors, grace our days,
For style embuing all their ways;
They filter round us bringing ease
With joys of life upon the seas,
So utterly un-travailed.

The wondrous food you serve all day
Has heads and hearts enslaved alway;
The gastronome has all his wish
As glory lies in every dish,
Perfection purely parcelled.

Narcissus served with ‘grand eclat’
As ‘photo-men’ arrange our ‘tat’,
To turn us Grecian Gods we see
Thus frozen as we’d love to be
We’re visually untramelled.

The entertainment’s grand designs
Appeals to widest class,  and shines;
Yet peace may be where’re ye seek
As none obtrude nor loudly speak
 Our pressing cares unravelled.
So
Oceana Queene of Seas
Elizabethan glories frees;
As Empire slips beneath your keel
England’s erstwhile ‘greats’ we feel
Our minds forever dazzled.

50 years design and manufacturing engineer. NB. All the material I will submit IS MINE - some 50 verses. They do not belong to a form or formula which, as a creative designer, I abhor. The date above is immaterial, but some 20 years ago. MontroseM PS strike me out as this is simply a money-making scam more…
