LOST

KERRY PERRY 1972 (Cashmere)

As Jesus steps upon the earth Into the frost above the dirt Where he first walked
As all else laid to rest
Once again to proclaim his test
Turned his pain into passion To be heard as first last Spoken sacred words:
"Tis better to have lost
Than to have been loved, When what hit me twice as hard
Hurt them twice as much"
Lessons lived
Must be earned
Taught to forgive
As the world turned
If it began with
"LET THERE BE LIGHT"
Then it shall end
When we lose sight.
