Wise Wishes

Patrick Hennebery 1984 (Atlanta)

I appear to be unwise..less than less attempting try’s, not really trying..nightly flying..buying and buying..  I didn’t mean to fail..start lying - why then does  peace never come home - tell myself this tale in each and every poem..  my chosen path I hope to change..  I’d rather walk into the light..god given life..then to roam..stoned, never to be known..just another clone..grown man alone.
Left behind..to rewind..dark days so I write my rhyme..  it’s to give up - give in - I always win..little white I sin...stab a great time in the eye with a poisonous pin.
Didn’t you know once and again not very long ago..I was born to grow..count each ten of my toe.
Solve my problem in will..the more I write..the more I flow

About this poem

Many years ago I lost myself hoping to find...lost I was thankful to be found
