Please God make me a star

Eugene L Portell 1968 (Washington ,Missouri)

Please God make me a star, a star I would love to be
One most of you are not thinking one high above the Earth and twinkling
Put me in a song use Me in a riddle
My how nice I would look in the handle of the big or the Little Dipper
I don't think my ears could handle the seven sisters I'm not lying
I know I would look sharp in the sword of the great hunter Orion
Make me the North Star I would shine extra bright
But if I had to I would even be a meteorite
I guess what I'm trying to say is I want to be seen by millions from afar
So what do you think God could you please make me a star.

About this poem

I wrote this poem for a friend of mine he had an addiction and sadly the addiction took his life but he was a star in my eyes he was one of two people that designed a roller coaster that a lot of people ride on daily so this is for all the stars that don't think they shine God bless you Eric H
