Poking the bruise

I still miss you
I still think about your hands and how they used to fit so perfectly into mine
Would they still?

Late at night, I find myself looking at old pictures of you
Are you still that same person
I suspect you're not
But I have no way back in

Those bridges were burned long ago
And probably with good reason
But still I poke the bruise
