The Master's Touch

Though trials to us God doth give
In the refiner’s fire, we now live
Shaped and formed with searing heat
The Master’s touch makes us complete

Unsteady hands first hold the rod
But soon grow firm as we daily trod
On the road to Emmaus, we now walk
But ne’er alone; with God, we talk

Whose spirit guides and comforts us
A healing balm, our hope, and trust
The God of all who blesses us
And sent His Son to die for us

Though darkness comes and veils our day
Soon comes the light and brighter days
Though through glass darkly we now see
Soon face-to-face with Christ shall be
