Voices

LaDonna Hale 1986 (Detroit, MI)

You are worthless
You are ugly
You are better off dead,

You’ll never be great
You will always fail
You are dumb
You are unloved

Voices, please hear my cry
I am beautiful
I am priceless
I am perfect alive

I will not be great but extraordinary
I will always win
I am intellectually keen
I am loved by everyone around me

Voices hear my decree

You will no longer bring me down as I have learned to love myself for who and what God has made me into.

You are no longer welcome in my head
You will only haunt those who minds are dead
You have ruined my life so many times
Don’t worry I love and take care of mine.
