some.rock

If I was God, we wouldn't be stuck on some rock.

I was standing in a lightning field the other night,
Frenzied forks jabbing
and stabbing
the ground and the trees,
not sure why I didn't leave.

I do that from time to time.
Tricking the clouds.
Tapping on dams.

These things are
impossible,
of course.

But,
there I was,
dancing it all away.

The gods watching,
whatever their names.
Forever
watching.

If I were them?

The lightning would be mine
to dance
in fields
with you.
