I am the Queen of Swords”

My story is not an easy one.
For I have paid a high price for this...
this wisdom
this intelligence
this so-called independence and “strength”.
All came from a loss of innocence.
Pain and suffering have plagued me all my life.
Nevertheless, I have remained hopeful.
Like the Charioteer, I have persevered through any obstacle I have faced.
And I have won.
I do not lose, for I am the Queen of Swords.

Maybe… I don’t want to be.
Maybe I want to be like the Queen of Wands.
Who is confident, friendly, full of life and enthusiasm.
Or maybe I could be like the Queen of Cups.
So kind, caring, and compassionate...
someone who is emotionally stable.
Maybe I still can be...
Oh, who am I kidding?
I will never be like them, no matter how much I pretend.
I could have been them, had my situation been different.

But it’s not.
So here I am, as the Queen of Swords.
Overly emotional, independent to a fault, and “too smart for my own good”.
