Hello....Goodbye

Sometimes goodbye is a second or another chance.
It is not always something that you plan in advance.
Sometimes it just has to happen
Like king's abdicate so a better King can come thru the fray.
When all of the people have had their say.

Goodbye can mean hello.....
To more money, more more, even more than before goodbye....
Made you cry, the tears streaming from you eyes....
All this for the bit  of time I thought you were almost mine.

Remember our dream, dear?
How we  said we would get out of here?
How we said we would always care?
But goodbye..... shut that door,
Harder than before...the dust scattering and settling to the floor.

The door got stuck. It would not open again, Damn the luck!
Sigh! It was not a good goodbye.   No and time flying so fast we could not catch up...although we were racing for the victory cup.

I hear the town's gossip. They said you were no good for me.
But that is not what I could see...
You had a certain debonair, a flare, that made everyone beware of your bad side....like you could hide it, get astride it  and become a better soul, should that be your goal.

The  colors were melting to sound.
Is that where our love could be found?
Did we seek what we were hoping to find?
Did we look for "us" in the sunshine?
Or did darkness obscure our vision...making a prison of our relationship...  did we quit to soon?
Did we hide our love on the light of the moon?

Yes, goodbye is just hello....
To have the new things that the future brings....
But I will miss you like I miss my heart beat...
For it is no common feat....
To say goodbye to you...
Should that be what I decide to do.

About this poem

Every closed door opens another....we have to be wise and brave to allow the door to close and patient for the next one to open. That is what this poem explores.
