The Final Journey
I’m shot, its burning and bleeding what’s going on?
My hearts racing, pumping blood all over my lawn,
As I fall, I see this car speed off, the wheels are peeling,
The Smoke rises from the tires just like this sick feeling,
I don’t think ill survive my life is spilling out,
Then there’s people trying to help they scream and shout,
But the darkness follows as the ambulance travels,
Sirens wailing signaling my final battle,
After breathing my last breath, I am no more,
My ego was absorbed by my soul so now I soar,
Except the darkness latches on like a beat to a drummer,
My sins weighed down my spirit pulling me under,
I surface on the lake of fire and my eyes do witness
Through the flame’s demons circling the numbers are endless,
From behind I’m lifted this grip has shifted then released,
I’m falling again except I land on the bones of the deceased,
I’m Pitch-forked and tossed like the daily catch of a fisherman,
Landing on a dock of pain the whole world is whimperin,
Eons it seems with misery my tolerance turns to numbness,
Until finally something breaks and I ask why have I done this?
Tears stream now not from pain but for Love and to forgive,
First the people that hurt me making it hard to live,
Then I forgave myself understanding finally true wealth,
Loving ourselves and others the greatest feeling ever felt.
