Music

Music, swirling, swishing
Around me.
I'm always missing
How it surrounds me.

As I go quick to get home
Every day,
I'm rushing alone
And shoving people out of my way.

I may get a curse
When I push each fellow,
But I rush to submerse
Myself in the sound of my cello.

So refreshing,
Though it may be so solemn,
I love how it's sounding
And resonating against each column.

Nothing else can compare
With how I feel
When I share
This sound so real.

Emitting
A melancholy tone,
So fitting
For my being alone.

But now I can let that go, to be happy and free,
Letting everyone see the real me.
